Cool for the Summer: Demi’s Go-To Workouts

One of the questions I get asked almost every day is “What’s your favorite workout?” Honestly, staying active is such a big part of my day-to-day life that I don’t have just one favorite! While there are a few that I go back to again and again, I also really love trying new things. Whether I’m at home or on the road, mixing up my routine is a great way to challenge myself and stay on my toes. Here are a few of the workouts that are in my rotation right now:

Mixed Martial Arts
I’ll do boxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu—again, I love to mix it up. It feels so great to learn a real skill and see myself progressing every day; that just motivates me to do it even more.

Circuit Training
A lot of times I’ll actually mix a few kinds of workouts into one session, so when I’m done with my MMA, I’ll start circuit training. It’s hard work but I love it!

Performing
When I’m on tour, performing really puts me through my paces and is one of the reasons it’s so important for me to keep my fitness consistent.

Surfing
Recently, I’ve really enjoyed heading out to Malibu and learning how to surf. It’s a great full body exercise and I love doing it with my friends!
