March Motivation: Ginger’s Top Tips

March is such an interesting month. It always feels a little long—there are no holidays to break it up, and it’s right in between the freezing cold winter temperatures and the time it heats up for spring and summer. Because of this, it always feels a little harder to stay motivated—but I’m here to help! Whether you’re trying to stay on your fitness track or just need a little personal push to complete your goals, I have a few tips to keep you going.

 

Share The Love And Support Each Other

Sometimes we get so lost in what’s going on with us that we forget to ask for help—or forget to give it. But we have to stand up for each other and support each other, no matter what. This is such a big time for women and I want us to continue to motivate each other. Whether I see a friend or a complete stranger who’s put in the time and effort on something and the results are showing, I give her a compliment. Just think about it—don’t compliments help you feel so much better? Go ahead and share the love!

 

Try Something New

Doing the same workout over and over can definitely make you feel like you’re in a bit of a fitness rut. Try something new! At my spin and barre classes, I’ve recently been putting myself directly in the middle of the room—because I think it’s so important to both give and receive positive energy from the other people in the class and motivate each other. Don’t stick yourself in the corner—be brave and get in the center for a little extra motivation! You can also go to classes or go for a run with your friends—and then treat yourselves to brunch afterwards! I’m also super excited about our latest leggings and capris, which are perfect for all your workouts.

 

Stay Strong

I think the biggest challenge really comes from being able to stay inspired. No matter where you are in your fitness journey, this can be a challenge. Don’t worry or be too hard on yourself if you miss a day or two—that’s totally okay. The journey is yours and what you make of it!

 

Set Your Intentions

At the beginning of every week, be sure to take a little time for YOU. Draw a bath, do some meditation, take a walk, write in your journal—just take some time to really think about the week ahead and what you actually want to accomplish. That way you can go into your week with your goals already set—and you know it will be a positive one!
