A Note From Kate: Working Out When You’re Traveling

Doesn’t it seem like 24 hours a day would give you enough time to fit in work, family, friends, and a workout? Throw in some travel to the mix, and getting a workout in ends up being your last priority, especially when your hotel’s gym still has 80s’ era equipment, or doesn’t have one at all!

Instead of giving up and abandoning your routine altogether when away from home, I’ve found that fitness DVDs make staying in shape easier than ever, no matter where you are.  I’m a huge fan of the Insanity series because it offers a full body, high intensity workout in just 45 minutes. I also love Brazilian Butt Lift – you’ll notice visible changes in just a few weeks!

I’ve found that it’s key stick with my workouts whenever I’m traveling so that I don’t end up falling off the wagon (and so I can enjoy some of my favorite foods without feeling the guilt!). How do you stay in shape when you’re traveling?

    I travel, but I’m a camper, boater. No TV, dvd players or electricity most of the time. I work out at home every night (21 day fix at the moment). Any tips to get a good work out in while camping?

    krisortizWell, if you’re a camper then you have the best workout room of all right there- the
    great outdoors! 
    But if you want to do something more structured, I follow an instagram page called @workoutroutine, which has lots of great daily workouts to do yourself- combinations of squats, lunges, pushups, jumping jacks, crunches etc. I download the workouts onto my phone so I can pick any one even when I don’t have internet access, or you print them out ahead of time.
