A Note From Kate: Fondest Memories of Summer

Summer is such a nostalgic time of year for me. It’s a season that reminds me of freedom and finally having the opportunity to travel and explore. When I was younger, we would take trips to the most beautiful places during the summer.

The most memorable was spending the entire summer in Muskoka, Canada. Even to this day, it’s still one of the most magical places in the world to me. It’s a child’s playground because you’re completely surrounded by nature and water, which makes for some incredibly lasting memories. The days were filled with activity and the evening were about playing games or sometimes just lazily sitting on the porch watching a summer lightning storm like fireworks.

I also can’t get enough of summer days because it’s the time when my children are out of school, and for our family, summer is when we can run around together, enjoy leisurely meals, and truly connect with one another. It’s about living in the moment, and being able to watch your kids just enjoy themselves, doing their own thing. Ryder, for example, loves anything to do with water. He has quickly become a strong little swimmer and is so courageous when he gets in the water.

Summer for me is putting into my schedule as many activities as possible and sleeping much less.  Pounding the pavement, paddling on the water, or leisure walks there is much fun in the summer time 🙂

Hi Sasha, They say you can cancel anytime by phone, but just try to get through. In my experience, and in that of many others, no one answers or your call will be mysteriously dropped. Once your a “member, ” just try to escape. Good luck. I’m still trying. I just finished filling out an “unauthorized charge dispute form” with my credit card company.
