SNACK TIME: A PROTEIN-PACKED TRAIL MIX RECIPE

This is a great mix to have on hand in a baggie when you are on the road or have a busy day. Trail mix is great because it can provide you with instant energy and longer term satiation at the same time. The wonderful thing about trail mix is you can swamp ingredients in and out to your taste and it will still be delicious!

Ingredients:
Handful of almonds (non-salted either raw or dry roasted)
Handful of tart cherries (tart cherries assist with recovery from muscle soreness)
Handful Unsweetened coconut flakes (coconut is a great fat source and a great energy booster!)
Small handful of pineapple pieces (watch the ingredients! But good source of sugar and great for digestion)
Small handful of dark chocolate chunks (the darker the better! Get those antioxidants in)
