Over the years, I’ve found that yoga requires dedication. It’s something I’ve practiced since I was a teenager. At that time, I went on retreats often and pored over yoga-based literature. While yoga is now just one part of my overall wellness routine, it’s still something that I derive much pleasure from.
My preference is hot yoga – it’s a great complement to all the dancing I do, and it allows me to be still and centered while I stretch and sweat. I also love bringing my friends to a hot yoga class and laughing at them as they suffer through it – all in good fun of course!
While one of the best things about exercising is how accomplished you feel at the end of a workout, yoga truly makes you feel strong, and it also incorporates meditation, which I believe is a key part of overall wellness.
