A Note From Kate: Valentine, Be Mine

Valentine’s Day has always been a special day for my family as it’s my parents’ anniversary. When I was younger, my brothers and I would wake up to fun gift baskets filled with token items such as heart paperweights and books about love. But more importantly, we would always have a group discussion about how we feel loved and cherished – the day was a celebration of love. Throughout my life, that has always stuck with me, and Valentine’s Day is not necessarily about receiving but instead about giving my love and sharing the day with the people who really matter to me.

To that end, you don’t have to have a significant other to celebrate Valentine’s Day. One of my favorite Valentine’s memories is the year my high school girlfriends and I gave each other bunches of roses and walked around school with them all day long; it was the best feeling! Valentine’s Day is also a good opportunity to celebrate self-love. Read inspirational quotes, do the things you love and enjoy being happy with yourself.

Kate you are a sweetheart and your mother has been one of my best loved actresses.  Many say I look like her.  Love shines in the faces of you, your brothers and your parents.  You all bring laughter and smiles to many.   Adore you and Happy Valentines Day!   Rebecca Berry

Truly a great idea to have a family discussion with each member contributing how they feel loved and cherished U0001f49e U0001f388 . I am adopting that, guys, and I might or might not give credit where credit is due U0001f633 . Either way, Thank you for sharing the lovely idea. U0001f618

Thanks for your post, Kate.  I enjoyed being reminded that Valentine’s Day is for everyone.  Enjoy being happy, and f$#**% those that apparently enjoy making obscene comments.

OMG Martha!  What is your problem?  Me thinks you should seek counsel for your anger.  Nothing wrong with trying to spread a little love & inspiration…. we all know the world needs more of that.. your comments were completely unnecessary & uncalled for in this blog…… time to look inside & see what it is that is creating this very negative attitude….. jealousy perhaps?  My hat is off to Kate Hudson, and what she has done with this line of fitness wear, I love it!  Unless you personally know her I don’t think you have license to insult her, and even then, I don’t believe in negativity…… time to focus on the positive and keep your negative comments to yourself….

Martha141 please see my comment above yours Martha…. time to do something about your “negative attitude”… this is not the place to vent your own disappointments….. this site is all about women supporting each other & trying to get or stay healthy, not tear them down…..
