Since this is my fourth pregnancy, I know a thing or two about being pregnant. Each one of my pregnancies has been different, and as a result, I’ve learned lessons from each one. Based on personal experience, here are some of my favorite tips for expectant mothers:
- If you’re thinking about getting pregnant, start working out beforehand so that you have a good fitness foundation in place. Not only does exercise help you maintain flexibility and prepare you for labor, but it also makes bouncing back easier. Maintaining my exercise routine during pregnancy made me feel 100% better than when I didn’t.
- I find that eating healthy, regular meals and taking prenatal vitamins before bed and/or with a full stomach helps me to take the edge off first trimester nausea.
- A light activity such as walking is a great way for moms of all fitness levels to stay active, especially in the uncomfortable third trimester.
