#FitFor2: How to Style the Bump in and Out of the Gym

[tps_header]Pregnancy fashion has really come a long way. There are so many great options that expecting moms don’t have to stick to traditional maternity brands anymore. Some of my favorite pieces to wear during pregnancy can be found right here at Fabletics.

When building a maternity wardrobe, I recommend planning ahead and buying things in a size or two up.  This ensures you will have clothing for your fourth through six months of pregnancy, and you won’t get caught off-guard with nothing to wear. Also, make sure everything you purchase is comfortable; one of my must-haves is a soft seamless sports bra like the Kemi bra that will continue to stretch as you get bigger.

For women who haven’t shared the news yet, a cardigan wrap like our Andrea Shrug or Austin Wrap (from a past collection) are perfect for disguising your midsection, and they’ll also take you through your last trimester.

During the second trimester, a pant with a fold-over waistband like the Salar Capri Fold-Over has been a key piece. As my belly expands, a stretchy seamless tank like the Oula tank in a fun color or print has allowed me to show it off without being restrictive. Another cute look is layering an open back t-shirt over a tank.

For the third trimester, I plan to layer my tops to avoid wardrobe malfunctions. The Oula tank would be perfect worn underneath a looser top like the Aruba Wrap Top, which is super comfy and drapes nicely around my belly. I’ll also continue to reach for those fold-over pants and the Austin wrap, especially as I approach my due date.

I’m just curious, but how much should I work out during the pregnancy? I just don’t want to overdo it. My baby is most important to me, but I do understand the importance of staying fit and how that can keep your baby healthy. Regardless, I want to stay styling! I’ll be sure to take these tips to heart. http://nursingandmaternity.com/Nursing-Dresses
