Mother’s Day Workout: Get Fit With Your Mini

The greatest way to inspire our kids to live a healthy lifestyle is to set an example by living a healthy lifestyle.

I love being a fitness trainer. My twelve-year-old daughter has recently started taking my classes. It’s been an amazing bonding time and an activity we really enjoy doing together. We’re both pretty competitive so we will do a HIIT Training challenge together and see who can plank the longest. (I win 🙂 )

Here’s a HIIT challenge you can do together.

End with a plank challenge. Set your timer, ready, set and go!! Keep track of your time and check your progress.

Another way to be an example to our kids is how we prepare healthy food in the kitchen. My daughter loves to cut up fresh fruit for snacks. I LOVE that I don’t have to force her to eat healthy. I let her make dinners for the family so she can explore and create healthy dishes that she can be proud of. Plus, it gives me a break in the kitchen.
