A Note From Kate: The Way to Outerwear

by

Even though I live in LA, I love to play up the fall/winter season by experimenting with the layered look. I try to plan escapes during the winter to Aspen, Europe or Vermont, so I can break out my cozy, cold-weather layers.

For our fall and winter collections, we really focused on comfy knits and luxe cover-ups to take you through the season. They’re all designed with the layering trend in mind. Take a look at some of my favorite pieces:

During the day, I will be wearing something sporty, like the Medusa Jacket. It’s the perfect to-and-from layer and the Arctic print adds some fun color to your winter wardrobe. I am also a big fan of puffy jackets when I travel because they are super easy to pack and they don’t take up a lot of room in your suitcase.

If I’m going out for dinner to a restaurant, I’ll dress down my look a little with the Electra Puffy Jacket. I’ll be layering this bomber over a fancy sweater. All I have to do is throw on a cute pair of skinny jeans and booties and I’m good to go.

When I go out at night, I choose coats that fit my mood and my outfit. If I am going to a nice event, I will typically wear a more fashion-forward coat. This fall, I will be incorporating the Williams Jacket into my wardrobe. It looks great over a mini dress because of its oversized silhouette.
