The goal of the “clean eating challenge” is to learn about what clean eating is and work on creating a new perspective to eating healthier through natural, simple, and nutritious whole foods.
The benefits of clean eating: Energy! It’s amazing what nutritious food can do for your energy. Clear skin, weight loss, fat loss, better sleep, tummy health…..the list goes on. This is what happens to our body when it is well hydrated and supported by nutrients and vitamins for normal body function.
The daily goal: Eat five to six times a day. Three meals and two to three small snacks.
1) Eat: fresh fruit and vegetables, lean meat and complex carbohydrates with each meal.
2) Drink water (2 liters per day)
3) Avoid processed or refined foods. *If you can’t state the name of an ingredient on the label, it probably isn’t “clean.”
Before we start our challenge, let’s simplify the rules. Make some simple lists of food “on the list“ and foods not on the list.
