The wait is over. Our highly-anticipated collaboration with Olympic athlete Will Claye has finally arrived. This capsule collection of performance gear and cutting-edge lifestyle pieces for men has dropped just in time for summer.
They call him “the best athlete you’ve never heard of.” And for good reason: At Will’s debut in the 2012 Summer Games in London, he received medals in both the long jump and triple jump – the first American since 1904 to yield this accomplishment. So it comes as no surprise that, with his upcoming competition at this summer’s Games in Rio de Janeiro, all eyes are on Will. He’s clearly a rapidly-rising star; a fresh face with even fresher style, on the verge of legendary status. A lot like FL2.
With Will’s natural gifts for design and (of course) athleticism, he was a perfect fit for FL2’s first-ever partnership. And the feeling is mutual: As Will himself puts it, “An FL2 guy works out, likes to just have fun, and be stylish.”
About The Collection:
Our men’s line prides itself on casual-luxe performance styles with technical details. The Will Claye Collection takes this concept and kicks things up a notch, with four urban-cool sets inspired by the upcoming games.
Alliance is ready to go the distance, with an edgy take on traditional graphic treatments: The sweat-wicking tee boasts a sleek “meter” design, while the relaxed-fit training short flaunts our signature Globe print. You can also rock that print with the Globe duo, with a fitted, combed-cotton logo tee and ultra-soft performance terry short. You can also strike a killer profile in Unity, which teams a jacquard tee made from cool-touch fabric with stretch joggers that convert from pants to shorts in one quick zip. And you can complete your world domination with Glory, a set that lives up to its name by topping off Unity’s shirt and joggers with the collection’s true hero piece: a Globe-print jacket with UPF 30+ protection, all-way stretch, and detachable sleeves for a cool transformation from jacket-to-vest.
We caught up with Will at a recent training session to chat about the breakthrough gym-to-life collection. “It’s fresh. It’s not just athletic wear. It’s more like athleisure,” he says. “In life, we don’t just work out all day.” Based on what we’ve seen him do on the track, we’re not so sure we believe him.
