Fearless and free-spirited, our co-founder Kate Hudson lives (and embraces) a truly global lifestyle. Between film shoots, business commitments and keeping up with her 2 sons, it’s pretty rare to find her in one place for too long. Occasionally however, her travels are all about enjoying some much-needed rest, relaxation and renewal. We caught up with Kate following her recent vacation to get the lowdown on where she went, what she enjoyed and which unexpected activity she loved the most.
Where did you travel?
I went to Skiathos in Greece for a quick getaway; it’s somewhere that always makes me feel totally alive and energized but so peaceful at the same time. It’s a very special place.
What were your packing essentials?
I always bring bikinis, easy throw-on pieces —like my Fabletics Bailey Dress and Joel Romper, flip-flops, hair oil for the sun, plenty of sunblock and a lightweight sweater or wrap to wear at night.
What were the best things you ate and drank?
The gyros from No Name in Skiathos Town are amazing—entirely homemade and entirely delicious. My vacation drink of choice is a glass (or two) of rosé, enjoyed with my toes in the ocean if possible.
What were the highlights of your trip?
Getting to see and spend time with my Aunt Anthea and Uncle Richard who live in Greece; reconnecting with family brings me so much joy. I also loved Lalaria Beach in Skiathos, which has some of the most beautiful clear water I’ve seen anywhere.
What activities did you enjoy the most?
I’m a nature girl, so anything where I got to be outside. I really loved sailing and diving for fresh sea urchins, which we enjoyed immediately afterwards…as you can see from the photo!
Can you summarize the trip in 3 words?
My. Favorite. Place. 🙂
