I normally try to hit high-intensity interval workouts at least 2 times a week. It is a very effective way to train, especially this time of the year. With the holidays upon us, our schedules get busier and our calorie intake gets greater. Incorporating a short workout of high-intensity intervals burns the most calories and revs up the metabolism.

I love to incorporate Tabata into my cycling classes by doing the steps below:

8 X 20 seconds sprint/ 10 seconds recovery (crank up the resistance and speed for the interval)

After the first round, I take 1-minute full recovery and then repeat this 4 times.

I love to listen to a mix of music. With Tabata, it is important to have music that will pump you up. This holiday mix will definitely do that!
