At Fabletics, we believe women should be allowed to wear whatever we feel our best in. But it wasn’t long ago that the sight of a woman in pants—which was considered inappropriate and unladylike—stirred up controversy. While pants are now socially acceptable, today the act of wearing leggings outside the gym sparks debate around the world. First and foremost, Fabletics is a community of strong-minded women. And our fashion choices should always be celebrated. Never censored. That’s why we’re so proud we made a statement at this year’s Women’s March.
Our staff joined forces with family and friends, marching together to advocate for empowerment and equality. Take a look at our incredibly inspiring day below!
6AM: Up and at ‘em! Our hardworking team met at the Fabletics store at Del Amo Fashion Center to make signs!
8:30AM: We boarded our very own “Women Wear the Leggings” bus (made especially for the march!) and rode it all the way to downtown LA.
9AM: We met up with over 200k powerful women from around the country at Pershing Square to start our march towards City Hall.
11:30AM: Once we arrived at City Hall, we listened to inspiring and passionate women-led speeches.
It was an unforgettable day to say the least! But our advocacy doesn’t end here. On International Women’s Day in March, we’re rallying our staff and the rest of our inspiring community to join us in wearing our special, limited-edition tee—and championing the idea that we should wear whatever makes us happy, comfortable, and confident all. After all, it’s 2020! We know women can wear the pants too… but now we’ll also wear the leggings.
Join us by wearing your favorite leggings on Sunday, March 8!
